Last year, Ann Littlewood's fans overran the store. This year, we were ready! Did Not Survive continues the story of Ann's zookeeper heroine, Iris Oakley. Although Ann did not deal with the elephants when she worked at the Portland Zoo, she absorbed enough information and then added research to make this a central topic in her book.

Ann's book is a great read, but there was a second reason for writing the book. She is concerned about endangered animals. Getting to talk about conservation and humane practices in zoos are wonderful by-products of having two popular books under her zoo utility belt.
